Norman Shanks started at Cardinal Stritch University in 2018. He received his MSN from Chamberlin College of Nursing in Chicago in 2015. He is a Licensed Registered Nurse in Wisconsin and Illinois. He started his nursing career as an Emergency Room Nurse in Troy New York in 2005. He finished his MSN in 2012 and returned to Wisconsin to be the inpatient manager, working for Advocate Aurora Healthcare, on a locked mental health unit for 23 adults and 7 adolescents. Then in 2015 moved to the Milwaukee area to be the manager of a locked inpatient adult mental health unit and 4 outpatient mental health clinics. Then in 2018 he started as a full-time assistant professor teaching for the Ruth S. Coleman School of Nursing and Health Sciences located at Cardinal Stritch University. He is the lead instructor for the Mental Health and Wellness lecture and clinical.
