Micro-credentials basics

Micro-credentials represent educational achievements and identify the specific competencies attained and how the mastery of the competencies or skill acquisition was achieved.

Participants earn micro-credentials by applying content knowledge within their own professional context and submitting artifacts as evidence of application of content knowledge to demonstrate mastery of specific knowledge and skills.
