400+ Stritch students, faculty, staff participate in Service Day 2019, On the Table discussion

Stritch Service Day

More than 400 Cardinal Stritch University students, faculty and staff performed various tasks at 22 local community partners to during 2019 Stritch Service Day on Thursday, October 10.

The day began with a send-off program in the Nancy Kendall Theater. Teams visited the following sites during the day:

  • All Saints Parish Pantry
  • Easterseals
  • Feeding America
  • Friedens Community Ministries - Hope House Food Pantry
  • Greentree Teutonia Community Learning Center
  • Habitat for Humanity Restore
  • House of Peace
  • Hunger Task Force Farm
  • La Causa Early Education & Care Center
  • Next Door Foundation
  • St. Ann Centers (Bucyrus and Stein Campuses)
  • St. Anthony High School, Preschool and Upper Elementary School
  • Schlitz Audubon Nature Center
  • Urban Ecology Centers (Menomonee Valley, Riverside Park, Washington Park)
  • Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi Convent
  • UCC Senior Center
  • Victory Garden Initiative

Teams returned to campus for lunch and participated in the Greater Milwaukee Foundation's On the Table discussion to identify how their service brought the 2019-2020 Franciscan Value Reverencing All of Creation to life.
