Stritch students earn honors in Delta Epsilon Sigma national writing competition

Two Stritch students have earned recognition in the annual Delta Epsilon Sigma Writing Competition. Abi Michalski (top/left photo) won first place in the Poetry category with her "In a Bob Ross Painting" submission. She will receive a $500 award and her work will be published in the DES Journal.

Emilie DeMaio (bottom/right photo) submitted her essay "Big Birds and Bees: Exploring Sexuality with the Muppets," which earned second place in the Scholarly Research category.

Delta Epsilon Sigma (DES) is a national scholastic honor society for national scholastic honor society for students, faculty, and alumni of colleges and universities with a Catholic tradition in the United States.
