Stritch MBA Alumna Story
Cherie Harris, MBA '00

Paving professional pathways
Harris is the embodiment of Stritch’s transformative leadership by sharing the stories of “community activists, radio veterans, young unsung heroes.” In addition, she carries Stritch’s innovative tradition as The Truth amplifies previously underrepresented voices that are “going to be very dynamic, going to be raw, it’s going to be authentic.”
Harris is also leading a team that is breaking new ground in her market: “The Truth will be a primarily talk radio that is targeting Milwaukee’s Black community.”
Stritch’s Flexibility and Lifelong Impact
“Cardinal Stritch University was the best option for a master’s in business due to flexibility, to be able to work full time and have faculty who weave real life experience into the classrooms. That worked perfectly for me. I made lifetime friendships at Stritch; it was essential to have the support of a village. The faculty broke down difficult ideas and took the time to help students truly understand.”
Words of Wisdom for New Graduate Students
“I was a first-generation college student and just kept going. It was hard, but I am glad I did it. Meet with an advisor and build relationships with the faculty because they have the insight to customize the courses to help you achieve your goals. Stritch helps you learn how to work through and navigate adversity. When you’re going to school you’re living your life and balancing all of these things.”
