A large advertisement was up at Mitchell Airport in Terminal D beginning in March 2017 and stayed up until June 2017. This ad promoted messaging for travelors to learn how to learn on the go and more importantly shed light on our online programs along with the School of Continuing and Online Learning. The ad directed people to our blog post Tips for the Traveling Student.

Transit shelter advertisements began in December 2016 and promoted messaging for transfer students with a request to download our Transfer Student Guide (using text-to-download technology).

Social media posts began on 11/29/2016 and continued through 4/22/2017 to promote individual courses. You can see the most recent posts by searching #StritchSummer, or clicking here. Once posted, specific courses will then be elevated through paid promotion. We also used social media as reminders for students to speak with their advisors, create buzz for new students, and push promotions suggested by the Summer Task Force.

A summer landing page was available, along with subpages for the College of Education and Leadership, the Ruth S. Coleman College of Nursing and Health Sciences and the Summer Work Program.

Digital ads (web-based, mobile, in-app) promoting collections of coursework provided by the College of Education and Leadership and the Ruth S. Coleman College of Nursing and Health Sciences started to take effect by 12/28/2016. Those ads directed traffic to the landing pages.

A postcard for academic advisors has been created and was printed over the holiday break. It was delivered to all student mailboxes on campus, for all students not graduating in May 2017, as a reminder to ask about summer courses in discussions with their academic advisor. The card will also dropped in home address mailboxes between 1/30/17 and 2/1/17 for families to be aware of summer course options. A secondary postcard was also created for academic advisors to hand out to students to promote the Summer Work Program.

Posters, along with napkin holder inserts promoting summer 2017 course sign up were created. Posters were printed and completed on Thursday, January 12, 2017 and were installed. Napkin holder inserts were printed and completed on Friday, January 13, 2017. They were installed within Union and Serra Hall Napkin Holders on Friday, January 13, 2017. A poster hung near the Experiential Learning and Career Education offices to promote the Summer Work Program was also created.

Posters and postcards for the College of Education and Leadership and the Ruth S. Coleman College of Nursing and Health Sciences coursework were approved by the dean of each college. They were printed and also made available as downloads on each college’s summer page.

On October 27, 2016, author Phil Klay delivered a keynote presentation as part of the 2016 Kendall Lecture Series. The University Marketing team promoted Klay's visit in digital outdoor billboards, local print, broadcast radio, social media promoted posts and email invitations. We found that targeted social media campaign brought the largest number of impressions and event RSVPs. The days before and after also included numerous events, so in collaboration with the Kendall Lecture Series Committee, the team also produced hallway banners, postcards, posters, and materials for the 2016 Common Read and University Advancement dinner.
